# Add a DropInBlog Blog to Lodgify

Paste two snippets from your DropInBlog account into a Custom HTML section on a new Lodgify page, and that page becomes your blog. When you publish the page, you’ll see a blog homepage with four demo posts. Then you’ll use the **Posts** page in your DropInBlog account to add new content to your Lodgify blog.
## How to Install DropInBlog on Lodgify
1. Create a new page in Lodgify by going to **Website builder** → **Pages** and clicking the plus sign next to **Header navigation**.
2. In the pop-up, select the **Pages** tab, name your page, then click **Add**.
3. On your new page, click **Add section**, and select **Custom HTML** under the **Others** section.
4. On the **Code & Layout** page of your DropInBlog account, click the **Copy** button under **Blog Script**.
5. Paste the Blog Script code inside the Custom HTML section in Lodgify.
6. Return to DropInBlog and click the **Copy** button under **Blog Container**.
7. Go back to Lodgify and paste the Blog Container code right after the Blog Script code.
8. Click the **Publish website** button.
9. Click **Publish** in the pop-up.
10. Visit your blog page and copy its URL. You’ll see a blog homepage with four demo posts.
11. In your DropInBlog account’s **Code & Layout** page, click the **Verify Integration** button. If required, paste the URL of your new blog page into the text field next to the **Check Integration** button. You’ll see a message that your blog is live.
## Where Your Lodgify Blog Lives
Your blog is hosted on DropInBlog’s servers but appears on your own domain, at the page you created in step 2. If you named it Blog, your URLs look like this:
* `your-domain-name/en/blog` (blog homepage)
* `your-domain-name/en/blog?p=blog-post-name` (individual blog posts)
Your post URLs include `?p=` for now. The last step of Verifying the Integration shows how to get clean URLs. Lodgify doesn’t have a built-in blog, so there are no existing posts to move over.
## Verifying the Integration
Create a test post to check whether it appears on your Lodgify site:
1. In your DropInBlog account, open the **Posts** page and click the **Add Blog Post** button.
2. Add your content, and select the **Published** option under **Status**.
3. Click the **View Blog** button to open your blog in a new tab.
4. Find and open your new blog post.
5. Check that the post’s text, links, and images are all displayed correctly.
### One More Step: Turn On the SEO Supercharger
Your blog is live, and Google indexes your client-side rendered posts as they are. Some other crawlers and link previewers only read a page’s raw HTML, though.

Turning on the SEO Supercharger serves your posts as flat static HTML for those too, with faster loading and clean URLs that drop `?p=`. It’s included in every DropInBlog plan, and you only need to turn it on once.

Follow[ __the SEO Supercharger guide__](https://docs.dropinblog.com/en/article/the-seo-supercharger-w-cloudflare-connection-wyhm09/) to set it up.
## Styling
Your blog picks up the fonts and colors from your Lodgify website, so it should look native out of the box. To change link styles, fonts, and other design elements, edit the inherited values in **Design** → **Design Customizations** on the **Code & Layout** page of your DropInBlog account. To add custom CSS, use **Custom CSS** in the **Advanced Options** section below **Design**.
## Troubleshooting
If your blog isn’t showing up, check these first:
* Make sure you added the Custom HTML section to the right page, i.e., the new page you created for your blog. If it’s on another page, add a Custom HTML section to your blog page and paste the code there.
* Check whether the page contains both the Blog Script and Blog Container code. If either is missing, copy it and add it to the page.
* Check that you saved the changes after adding the Blog Script and Blog Container code. Click the **Publish website** button in Lodgify after pasting your blog code.
* Check that the Blog URL in DropInBlog matches your live page. In DropInBlog, go to **Settings** and make sure **Blog URL** matches your blog page’s address exactly, including the language part of the URL (like /en/).
* Make sure you added the correct page URL when you clicked the Verify Integration button. You’ll find your blog page link in Lodgify by clicking the three dots next to your blog page, then copying the page link under **Page URL**. Paste that URL into DropInBlog.

## Limitations
Some of the limitations of DropInBlog-powered blogs include the following:
* Lodgify’s built-in website translation won’t automatically translate your blog posts. **Solved:** publish your posts in each language with [DropInBlog’s multi-language setup](https://docs.dropinblog.com/en/article/multi-language-integration-html-integration-c2sr2e/), using a separate blog or a language category for each language page.
* Your DropInBlog blog posts won’t be included in Lodgify’s sitemap. **Solved:** DropInBlog has its own XML sitemap. Find it in **Settings**, below **Blog URL**, and submit it to Google Search Console.
* Posts aren’t served as static pages by default. **Solved:** turn on the SEO Supercharger for clean URLs (without `?p=`) and faster load times. It’s included in your subscription, and you only need to turn it on once.
