# Does DropInBlog generate an llms.txt file?

|| **Short answer:** DropInBlog does not generate an `llms.txt` file, on purpose. AI systems do not actually use them. [Four large studies](#2-studies-and-the-current-state-of-llmstxt) show it doesn't help you get cited.

Today the main thing that "reads" an `llms.txt` is another SEO tool checking whether you have one. Adding it would not change how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews find or cite your content. It is not a missing feature.

If OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or another major AI provider starts using `llms.txt` the way crawlers use `robots.txt` and XML sitemaps, we will add it. Until then, you don't need one.
