Clicking on this button will open a new page where you can add an author name (1), title/role (2), expertise/topics covered (3), and bio (4).

Author page fields

  • Author Name – This is the field where you’ll add the author’s name.
  • Title/Role – Here, you should add your job title, professional role, or credentials related to credibility, experience, and expertise (e.g., Marketing Lead, Content Manager, SEO Specialist).
  • Expertise/Topics covered – This section is shown as pill buttons below the author’s name, and here’s where you should add your areas of expertise, e.g., SEO, Content.
  • Bio – In this section, you can write about the author's experience and expertise and structure the content using the options available in the content editor, including text, images, and videos.

Below the editor, you’ll find two more fields:

Author profile fields: Featured links and social links

  • Featured Links – This is where you can add links to your published work. This can be your own website or another website that published your work.
  • Social Profiles – In this section, you can add the links to your social media profiles, ranging from Facebook and YouTube to GitHub and LinkedIn.

On the right side of the page, you have a couple of additional options. You can add the author’s image (1) and assign them a specific AI voice (2).

Additionally, you can tick the box next to "Hide From Crawlers" (4) if you don’t want search engines to index the author page.

Author profile: SEO settings

  • SEO Title – Add the name of the author.
  • SEO Description – Brief description of the author (up to ~160 characters). Longer descriptions may be truncated by Google.
