How to change your blog URL in the Shopify DropInBlog app
We’ve prepared a video to show you how you can change the URL of your blog in the Shopify DropInBlog app. Alternatively, you can follow our written step-by-step tutorial below.
Log in to your Shopify account, and once in your user dashboard, click on the Apps tab from the menu on the left.
Clicking on the Apps tab will open a search box, where you’ll see all the apps you’ve installed on your Shopify account.
Find the DropInBlog app in this list, and click on it. If you don’t see the app in the list, type DropInBlog in the search bar, wait for it to appear, and then click on it.
This will open the DropInBlog app. Look for the three dots in the top right corner, and upon clicking on the three dots, select Manage app.
In the window that opens, scroll down to the App proxy section, and under the App Proxy URL, you’ll see your blog’s URL.
Once you have located your blog’s URL, you can change it by selecting Customize URL.
Selecting this option will open a popup window, where you’ll see four different URL options. Select any of the four, then change the name in the textbox beside the dropdown to blog, news, or anything else you want.
Click Save for the changes to take effect.
The last step is to copy your new URL, paste it into a new tab, and visit your blog.
Don’t skip this step, as visiting your blog page will activate your new URL.
To check if your new URL has been successfully applied in your DropInBlog settings, open the DropInBlog app by selecting Open App from the app’s settings page.
Then, from the menu on the left, select Settings.
Your new blog URL should appear on the page that opens next.
And that’s how you change the URL of your blog in the Shopify DropInBlog app.
