Generating your Cloudflare API token
Before you can generate a Cloudflare API token, you need to add your site to Cloudflare.
Then, you can choose how you want to follow this guide: by watching the video tutorial or reading the step-by-step instructions below the video.
Once you add your site to Cloudflare, log in to your Cloudflare account.
Once logged in, click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner of your dashboard, then select My Profile.
Select API Tokens from the menu on the left, then click the Create Token button on the right.
Upon clicking the Create Token button, you’ll be taken to the User API Tokens page.
Under API token templates, locate Edit Cloudflare Workers, then click the Use template on the right.
On the new page that opens, under Create Token, click the pencil icon to edit the token name.
Rename the template to Blog Worker.
You won’t have the option to save the new token name, so just scroll down the page until you see the Account Resources and Zone Resources sections.
Adjust the settings to match the settings shown in the image below.
Continue scrolling until the end of the page, where you’ll see the Continue to summary button.
Clicking on it will take you to a new page, displaying the Blog Worker API token summary.
To continue, select Create Token, and you’ll be directed to the page where you’ll find the link to the token you just created.
Click Copy, then head to your DropInBlog admin account.
Select the Settings tab, paste your API token in the text field shown below, then click the Connect button.
You’ll see a success message, informing you that your Cloudflare connection has been enabled.
Your blog posts will now have a clean URL. Instead of the default ?p=post-name at the end of your posts’ URLs, you’ll have a clean URL without any unnecessary variables (blog/post-name/).
When you connect Cloudflare to your DropInBlog account, we’ll be able to load your blog pages static. What does this mean for you? A faster-loading blog and much more! ⚡
Blog speed and happy blogging!
