How to add a CTA to your blog post
Adding a call-to-action (CTA) button to your post is a great way to increase visitor engagement and conversion rates and create a better user experience.
Watch the video below to learn how you can do it. Or you can follow our written tutorial below the video.
To add a CTA to your blog post, open the content editor first.
Place your cursor where you want to add your CTA and look for the icon of a rectangle with an arrow pointing to it.
Upon clicking on the “Insert CTA Button” icon, you’ll see a call-to-action box added to your blog post with the default text.
To make changes to your CTA, click on the CTA button, and you’ll see the following options below it: Style , Edit Link , and Unlink .
Click on the pen icon in the middle to view the editing options.
In the popup window, you can set the following:
Add a link to your CTA button (link to a website, PDF, or image)
Change the default button text (My Call to Action)
Select the appropriate “Rel” attribute from the dropdown
Open a link in a new tab
After filling in all these fields, hit Update to save your changes.
You also have control over how you want to display the CTA button.
To do that, click on the CTA box. After clicking the link icon with a star next to it, you’ll see two options: CTA Button and CTA Button (inline) .
The default style is a CTA Button . This method adds the CTA button to your blog post in its own standalone paragraph.
If you select the second option, CTA Button (inline) , your CTA will be displayed on the same line as your post’s paragraphs, headings, and other elements.
To change the CTA style, you can just click on your CTA, and select one of the two options from the dropdown.
One of the things you’ll notice is that if you deselect the CTA Button style, your CTA will show as a regular text link with the button styling removed.

Another thing you can do with DropInBlog’s CTAs is change their default look by adjusting the button background and text color.
To do that, go to the Code & Layout tab → Advanced → Design Customizations .
At the bottom of this section, you’ll see two fields – CTA Button Background Color and CTA Button Text Color .
Clicking on either of the default values under these fields will open up a palette of suggested colors, but you can also add other colors by entering their HEX code.
You can view different color combinations in the preview area.
However, make sure to click the Save Design Customizations button to reflect the changes in your blog posts.
That’s all there is to it! Happy blogging!
