How to add recipes to your Shopify blog with Recipe Kit and DropInBlog

With the Recipe Kit (for Shopify) integration, you can easily embed recipes into your Shopify blog posts.

What you’ll need for the integration to work

Before you can use DropInBlog’s recipe embeds, you should complete the following steps:

• Install the Recipe Kit app in your Shopify account.
• Contact Recipe Kit to enable the integration.
• Create a recipe from within the Recipe Kit Shopify app (Recipe Kit how-to video).

Adding recipes from your DropInBlog app

After you’ve created at least one recipe in Recipe Kit, open the DropInBlog app from Shopify’s left-hand menu.

Start a new blog post or edit an existing one.

Once you’re in the editor, click on the Chef’s Hat icon at the top bar.

Doing so will open a new window, where you’ll see your Recipe Kit recipes. You can also look for them using the search bar functionality.

To add a recipe to your post, click on the Insert button to the right of the recipe you want to insert.

The recipe placeholder will be added to your post, but as soon as you save your changes and publish/update your post, the recipe will have the same design and styles you’ve set in the Recipe Kit app.

That’s it!

With the DropInBlog Shopify app, you can now easily add recipes, products, FAQs, and ToCs.
