Managing your blog posts

To view and manage your blog posts, click Posts in the navigation menu. After you create an account on DropInBlog, four demo posts will be automatically added to your Posts page.

When you open this page, it will look something like the image below.

Creating new blog posts and managing existing ones

To start a new post, select the Add Post button (1) on the right-hand side of the screen. The Help Article button (2) will take you to our support doc that shows you how to add a new post to your blog in more detail.
To edit an existing blog post, just click on it and you’ll be taken to the post editor. To view the options for managing individual posts, look for the ellipses menu on the right side of the screen. You can expand this menu by clicking on it.
Doing so will open a dropdown with the following options: View Post, Copy Share URL, View Analytics, Duplicate Post, and Move to Trash.

View Post: Use this option to access the live version of your post or to check how your post looks to your visitors

Copy Share URL: Click this button to copy the post’s shareable URL to your clipboard for easy sharing.

View Analytics: Once you connect your DropInBlog account with Google Analytics 4, you’ll be able to view performance metrics for individual posts. To see GA4 data across all your blog posts, visit the Analytics page from the More dropdown in the top navigation menu.

Duplicate Post: Instantly create a copy of any selected post with one click. This is especially useful for recurring content like company announcements, allowing you to build templates that maintain a consistent structure and appearance.

Move to Trash: This removes the post from your live blog but doesn't delete it permanently. If there are any posts in the trash, a View Trash link will appear in the lower-left corner of the posts page. From there, you can choose to restore or permanently delete any trashed posts.

Filtering and sorting options

At the top of the posts section, you’ll find the Filters button, and after you click on it, it will show you the available options for sorting your content.

Here you can filter your posts by Title, Status, Author, or Category. But you can go even more specific and filter your posts by whether or not they have FAQs, Product Embeds, Table of Contents, or Calls to Action enabled.

This makes it easy to sift through a large number of posts and perform bulk actions based on your filters.

At the top of the post list, you’ll find six columns: SEO, Post Title, Categories, Author, Status, and Date.
Clicking on the up and down arrow icon next to these columns (excluding Categories) allows you to choose the order in which your posts appear. You can sort your posts from lowest to highest SEO score, in alphabetical order (by title or author), by publication status (draft, published, and scheduled), and from newest to oldest.

You can also combine the filtering and sorting functionality. For example, you can filter by Status, and then sort the results by their SEO score.

Bulk actions

To help you manage your content more easily, DropInBlog offers bulk actions that you can access by selecting the checkbox next to the SEO column.
If you don’t want to select all posts on a page, you can check the box only next to the posts to which you want to apply bulk actions.
Checking one or more boxes on a specific page will get the Bulk Actions dropdown menu to appear. The available actions are: Add Category, Remove Category, Set Author, Unset Author, Export Posts, and Move To Trash.

Add Category: Add one or more categories to the selected blog posts.

Remove category: Unassign a category from multiple posts.

Set Author: Assign an author to the selected posts. If the posts are currently assigned to a different author, that author will be removed, and they will be reassigned.

Unset Author: Remove the assigned author from the selected posts.

Export Posts: Generate and download a CSV export file of the selected posts.

Move to Trash: Delete multiple posts in bulk.

And that’s how easy it is to manage your posts with DropInBlog.

Happy blogging!
