How to add a blog link to your Thinkific site navigation
If you want to make your blog more easily accessible within your Thinkific school, add it to your site’s navigation. In this guide, you’ll learn how.
Step 1: Open the Thinkific page editor
Open any page on your Thinkific site. You’ll find all your site pages when you select Channels, then Website from the left-hand menu.

To launch the editor, simply click on the page you want to edit. Alternatively, you can use the kebab menu at the bottom-right corner of the page, then select Edit Page.
Step 2: Open the header section settings
Once you’re in the Thinkific editor, you’ll see the header section on the left side of the page.

Cick on it to open its settings.
Step 3: Add a link to your blog
In the header block menu, click on the Add Link button under Blocks.

In the slide-out menu, the following option will allow you to customize your new link:
- Text: This is where you’ll add the name of your blog.
- Link: Here, you can select the type of page you want the link to point to. For your blog, select Another Page from the dropdown. You’ll find your new blog page under the Custom Pages section.

Step 4: Save your changes
All that’s left is to save your changes, which you can do by first clicking on the Save button at the bottom of the link block you’ve just created. Then, to publish your changes, click on the Save button in the top right of the editor.

Your blog link will now appear on all pages on your Thinkific site.
Common Issues
If, for some reason, your blog link isn’t showing in your Thinkific site menu, check the following:
- Blog page is not published: If your blog page is still in draft mode, it won’t appear as a selectable option in the navigation and won’t load for visitors.
- Wrong link type selected: Make sure you selected the correct page under “Another Page,” especially if you have multiple custom pages.
- Changes not visible on live site: The editor preview may show the link, but it won’t appear publicly until you publish the site.
- Browser caching issues: Sometimes the link is added correctly, but your browser shows an older version of the page. Try refreshing or opening the site in an incognito window.
- Link text is blank or unclear: If the “Text” field is empty or unclear, the link may not be visible or obvious in the navigation.
- Navigation overflow (too many links): If your menu already has many items, the new blog link may be hidden in a dropdown or not visible, depending on screen size.
Happy blogging!
